If you are looking for Japanese sushi this is the place to go. Nothing wrong with other locations necessarly but Kazu is a sushi chef from Japan and learned the art of sushi in Japan. Be patient it is a family owned resturant and if it gets busy it may take a extra min to get your food. Definitely worth the wait. Very inviting interior.
Had a great experience and will be returning. Had the salmon sashimi with cilantro and jalapeno, miso soup, and spicy rainbow roll. My partner had the opie (spelling?) roll and a veggie rolls. 5/5 on the food, and we ordered the perfect amount. Service was good, and the place feels authentic versus a hyped-up high-end fushion-gentrified sushi option (we are glad we came here instead of going to a gentrified establishment downtown). The dining room was full, but, since there were only four tables they were all spaced well apart, so we felt like we had plenty of space and privacy. Vegetarian options: Plenty of interesting veggie rolls if fish isn't your thing.
Come here for sushi You won't be disappointed. Every time I visit is great. Why is this place not packed all the time?
Truly tasty food. The restaurant was a little cold for my comfort but that's not a big deal since I came for the food more than the atmosphere.
I can only speak to their vegetarian options, but the food was great and the service was kind and hospitable. Looking forward to coming here again! Vegetarian options: Obviously Sushi is not the greatest choice for vegetarians, but this place has a surprisingly wide selection.
Last time I was given Tekiyaki sauce, because I can't eat soy sauce, but today the waiter was in a bad mood so she didn't bring me tekiyaki sauce, and when I tried to seek it from the other people, and she charged me more money. Her service was terrible and this was the last time I ate here and will never come back agian.
My family thought this would be a good place to have sushi, until walked thru the door. As soon as we walked in, we were told that sushi would take an hour and that "the other items" on the menu would take less time. How is this possible when your restaurant was barely full and 95% percent of your menu is fish and sushi. Very bad for a place that is only open 5 hours a day! Try and keep up with your demand. We felt discriminated against in addition to the inconvenience of going to a place that cannot handle 6 tables at a time. Close the doors or get more staff. We WILL NOT be coming back. Trappers it is from now on!
The sushi is very good, the miso soup is very tasty, just a little cold..
