Nice location on Gov Street, poor service and very average food, find other better options nearby
Stromboli was delicious. Nice and crispy crust, thick meatballs. Sauce needed a little salt but that was really remedied by the shaker on the table. Poutine was garlicky and savory. Staff was attentive and pleasant. Would recommend.
Rodent infested! Our visit to Frankie’s on March 7 can be summed up in 1 word-mice. We first became aware of mice running around the restaurant when two other guests nearby alerted a server and soon left. Shortly after we saw the mice on the floor near where we were sitting and also alerted a server who casually responded that its a problem with the building and then indicated where they usually run around in the evening (in the seating area near the back entrance to the restaurant), that “its downtown Victoria,” and “not to worry because they are easily kept out of the kitchen.” This nonchalant response was troubling but also indicated that this is a known problem that isn't being dealt with by management and service staff are well versed in the excuses. Prior to leaving, we saw the mice on the seats in the dining room and running along the backrests of the booths. This is a public health issue that is not being dealt with.
Just had some very good fish and chips. I recommend them.
So much fun and delicious
