Great club with multiple floors. Top two floors require tickets - sold on their website and shotgun app. Prices increase as more are sold. No food, just bars/drinks.
New lineups nightly and special events.
Highly recommend for any techno /house / electronic fans
A bit too Pricey Sunday show evening ticket( $40 )for random Djs. The purple drink was tasty but I didn’t realize it’s cannabis infused so my night was very confusing 😅
Absolutely boring place, almost no people there and music was mid
Deceptive business practices selling anytime tickets but them hiding the limits in the confirmation after you buy the ticket. The manager with the London school boy haircut and glasses is a joke communicator who threatened to call the cops on me for being aggressive cause he told me it is what it and walked away from me and I walked back up to him.
I recently had a very disappointing experience at Flash on Florida Avenue, Washington DC. I was there with a group of 18 friends for what was supposed to be a fun night out. Unfortunately, our evening was ruined by the actions of the security staff.
In the middle of our night, a security guard approached me and two of my friends and asked us to leave the venue. He cited three unclear reasons: first, that we had allegedly bothered someone, which we proved to be false; second, that we were supposedly intoxicated, which was also untrue since we had barely consumed any alcohol and I wasn't drinking at all; and third, that we were apparently creating a bad atmosphere. None of these reasons were valid, yet we were still forced to leave.
When we spoke to a second security guard downstairs, he told us that the place was not a democracy and that we didn't have the right to decide if we were right or wrong, but that they were always right and we had to leave.
Our friends, understandably upset, decided to leave with us. As a result, Flash lost 18 customers in one night. This unprofessional and unjust treatment by the security staff was unacceptable and ruined what could have been a great night out.
I would not recommend this venue to others based on our experience.
I think Flash is one of the best clubs in DC
While the minimalist aesthetic creates a relaxed atmosphere, I found the entertainment underwhelming for the price. And they acted like they were big time? I expected a more energetic experience with well-known DJs. It might be a good spot for a low-key night, but if you're looking for a lively scene that reflects the cost, I'd suggest exploring other options. Compared to New York, this place felt a bit uninspired.
