Fava Pot

Egyptian food is not something I've ever had the opportunity to experience. This restaurant was great and their staff was inviting Highly recommend for anyone looking to try something outside the ordinary.

I am writing this review 3 weeks later, so I cannot recall all of the delicious flavors of the food ... but, the owner (?) was fantastic, the cuisine was distinct from the more typical (in the US) Lebanese style, and everything was thoroughly enjoyed. I can distinctly remember the pomegranates and lime of the baba ganoush and the fava bean flavor of the falafel. My dish was complex and delicious but more specific details elude me. You'll just have to try it for yourself. My mother, who had not been to Egypt since the 70s, also loved it. It was more upscale than the food she had as a student.

My favorite Egyptian restaurant in the DMV area…..great food and excellent service…the owner is so nice and very friendly
