The braised pork over rice was okay but not great. The pork chop was very disappointing.
Scallion oil poached chicken from the fridge is so good. You know if you know. They also serve at Microsoft food court as well everyday in different building (been to this place at least 10+ times now). I would recommend their braised beef bento box. Beef is very nice. Even the potato itself is surprisingly good. Update: 1/18/2024: ordered the tofu bento at Microsoft Building. Tofu is braised/friend outside, inside is soft. Also, comes with mushroom. Overall, pretty nice since this is commonly seen tofu you will eat in Taiwan. Don't expect it to fill up your stomach if you have big appetite tho. 1/25/2024: ordered the pork chop bento and hakka stir fried. They will give you two thin pork chop along with some veggies on the side. Hakka stir fried also pretty good although didn't see the squid sliced. Overall, given the price and quality of the food. Will likely come back!
Not as good as it used to be, and the service is just ok
On of THE best places to get Taiwanese food. I've moved to the LA area and every chance I get to fly back to Bellevue, I'll always stop by this place.
For the price and reputation, I expected better food. What I like: stuffed fish balls in soup, pumpkin with salted duck egg. Pork burger. Others: Five spiced fried chicken with basil has almost no flavor. It is a bit dry. Spiced pork stew over rice is ok. Too much rice. Too little meat. Beef noodle soup is meh. Some local restaurants have much better beef noodle soup. Soy flavored chicken with fresh basil is ok. I can only taste chicken and soy sauce. I expected it to have a strong basil flavor. Shanghai style braided pork is a bit dry.
