It’s unfortunate I have to make this post, and I know it’s going to read like a disgruntled customer. I’d like to point out I’ve not been banned (yet), though that may change after this review. After being a regular customer for almost a year and friends with the owners, I’ve come to realize this is not a safe place for many. The owners boyfriend is a misogynist with anger issues (you will be yelled at if you upset him) and none of them seem to have any communication skills. If you break some unspoken rule that’s not been communicated with you, instead of a conversation, you’ll be met with probably being yelled at and most likely banned, no warnings, just removed from the community. I’ve seen so many friends and loved members of this community mistreated, banned, and gaslit. It’s so disheartening when this place was such a wonderful home and community for so long. If you’re passing through, skip this place. If you live here, DEFINITELY skip this place. Unless you’re of a certain economic class, they don’t want you there. This is clear by their ever increasing prices and ever decreasing kratom/kava portions. If you want good drinks, better prices, and a true Asheville welcome, visit Vintage Kava. If you’re looking for a place just looking to make money off of you, feel free to stop in at Elevated.

I used to really love this place. Money changes people. I’m really bummed to have watched the love and community decline at Elevated Kava. Their drinks are overpriced and they’ll ban you if you step out of line. 0/10 do not recommend

Visiting friends in the area and stopped in this place is awesome! Very welcoming staff great drinks and vibes are great

Dietary restrictions: They have a great assortment of alternatives milk for all of their drinks. Kid-friendliness: Bored games, and ping pong!

i have been a regular at elevated kava for about a year now, and i have come to know this place as my second home. every kavatender is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, the environment is so cozy and artsy, and i truly feel a "come as you are" vibe. i've tried every other kava bar in asheville and none feel quite the same. their product is top notch and the atmosphere is the most inviting out of any of the other kava lounges i've tried. 10/10 recommend, love love LOVE this spot!!! the downtown location is just as lovely :)
