This place has really gone downhill since COVID. The food is low quality, the service is slow, and the atmosphere is depressing. The people working there are nice and seem to be doing everything they can but there just aren't enough of them. There are two people up front working both dine in, take out, cash register, ice and soda machine, ice cream machine, condiments bar. And can we have real utensils back please? The TV is old and the ice cream machine is loud. It's just dreary. I'm surprised they are still in business.
I went in at 4:30 on Sunday, One table of people eating and a customer at the to-go counter being helped. I looked at the menu a couple of minutes, then look to see if there was someone working. A young guy cutting brisket. “Hello!” I say. Nothing. “Hello!” I say again. “I will be with you in a minute,” he says. I continue looking at the menu for a couple of minutes. Look at him. “What is your name?” “ Alejandro ,” he says.
Got it.
I won’t be back.
I come here sporadically when working during the week close by and I must say the meat is always fresh and the service is very welcoming . Brisket is on point ! Thank you !
Had a BOGO coupon for a sandwich plate. Went at noon and there were no cars in the lot. Not a good sign. Ordered the plates and they brought them to the table as there was not a person to slice the meat present. Immediately noticed the brisket was dry and old. No favor at all. On top of that the bun was stale. Did not complain since I was using a coupon but should have. The sides were fine. To top it off the free ice cream was not edible. Leaving this review so the owner can check it out. You need to fix these issues. Not a good experience.
Irdered from Active Menu which was super fast service
Brisket could be more moist. Tea tastes like water. Mac & Cheese overcooked.
Manager was very Rude, Disrespectful and tried to overcharge my ticket. Told me to go somewhere else next time!
I have a legitimate complaint in that I have not received my online delivery order. In regards to this I called and complained on a Saturday. Manuel answered and attempted to console me. I gave him way too much grief and am truly grateful for his patience and hospitality. Well done Manuel and thank you for your patience with me.
I ordered the #1. It was supposed to be a Big Brisket sandwich. It was not. It was a thick bun with dry, cold chopped brisket. I ordered fried okra which was supposed to be fresh. It was not. It was also under cooked and hard. As for customer service, there was none. Save your time and money. This place needs a huge upgrade all around!
All criticism is constructive.
Build a sound absorbing box around that G** D***3* Ice Cream Machine.
Drink machine, no ice, coke, Dr pepper, root beer, lemon - all but for diet drinks were out.
For over an hour I watched a vacuum machine info-mercial. Finally, I got up to get ice cream from that dammed noisy ice cream machine. No cups, cones or ice cream.
Light a fire under somebody and straighten this place out. Please. I like the Q, location is convenient but, you walk in there for lunch or dinner and decide is this a pleasurable experience?
Place was DIRTY, service was careless, meat had a bunch of squishy fat parts. Don’t go here.
I ordered a 2 meat plate and asked for moist brisket. The brisket I got was dryer than the Sahara desert. I went to get a to go box and told the guy who plated my meat that if that was moist brisket he gave me, I would hate to see what I would get if I asked for lean brisket. Tire rubber, probably seeing how dry moist brisket was. His response was lackluster. Based on food quality and employees response, I will not return.
