This shop is great! Line is long, rainy and cold out, & Asia is taking orders, making drinks - even suggestions for my complicated request - giving time expectations, & serving up with professional friendliness. It’s good coffee, & fantastic work ethic!
Quaint little coffee shop! The staff are so friendly and helpful, and their coffees are always so smooth and top-notch with delicious flavors. Their food is filling and delicious, and they have some tasty pastries as well. The atmosphere is very welcoming and inclusive, and there are seats in the window upstairs that are lovely for people watching, or just enjoying the sun on Lark Street.
Love it here!! This is the kinda place that makes a neighborhood :)))) Would love to see a vegan option for breakfast sandwiches!
Mississippi Roast is a new favorite of mine
It’s been a lonnnng time. I attended SUNY Albany from 1989-1993. My brother had attended from 1980-1984, and he was the one who informed me of the existence of this little gem of a restaurant. I loved to get a soup and half sandwich. Stuck firmly in my memory is the potato leek soup with a seafood salad sandwich with cranberry mayonnaise on the homestyle coarse bread. So delicious! The last time I had the pleasure of eating there … sadly … was around 1995. I was traveling back down to Long Island with two girls I worked with; we had gone on a day trip to visit Howe Caverns, and I insisted that we swing through Albany and get something to eat at The Daily Grind. They ended up just as happy about it as I did. I am super gratified to see that the place still thrives. I hope that it lasts a thousand years and keeps going.
Eggs Diamond is the best breakfast sandwich.
