Great clam chowder! This place was recommended by a local Uber driver, as the best chowder in Pismo, and now I am a believer! Really good!
Humongous fish tacos loved them!!!
Saw the billboard on 101 so we thought we'd stop in and give it a try. Excellent waitress; knowledgeable and professional. I had Clam chowder and it was outstanding, Then I had the calamari strips, which were pretty good but the batter did not stick when you cut off a piece, so I had to scramble to get a bite of both. My wife had the Coconut Shrimp. It was cooked in old oil and was way to brown, not golden. As well, we both could taste the older, going off flavor of the coconut and macadamia nuts. Excellent wine list with fair pricing. If we come back, we'll probably go for the Crab.
DJ and Chris gave us great service and the food was the best! I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts! Special thank you to DJ! Vegetarian options: Brussel sprouts!!!
If you're looking for a seafood boil, look elsewhere. Theirs is very bland with no mixed flavors. The potatoes didn't taste like they cleaned them. They didn't have ANY flavor, just as the corn was without flavor. No sauce whatsoever. Very disappointing. We spent well over $200, and it's definitely not worth half of that. Even the bread was horrible. Also, you can get better crab cakes from the grocery store. Save your money. Based solely on my experience.
We had lunch here which consisted of fish and chips and a clam chowder. The place was completely empty until we were about to leave the restaurant. The vacancy in the restaurant aided the lack of atmosphere or intimacy this restaurant probably experiences during busy days. The service was really great as well as the food. Unfortunately we did not have any of their signature dished since we were there for lunch.
If you are looking for something family will remember take them to cracked crab and order a bucket; everybody gets a bib; and when the bucket is poured out on to the table, let the chaos ensue!
So good that we had dinner here two nights in a row! First night's dinner was the crab boil. Just enough Old Bay seasoning and not salty. We ordered the one person portion plus the steamed clams. The sauce that came with the clams should be sold separately... It was that good. Second night was their Ciopinno plus more steamed clams the staff helping us both nights were awesome and attentive. Great dining experience!
