Food was terrific, I had the seared salmon, great staff.
What a great experience!! A quiet restaurant that has a great ambiance. The food is fabulous and the staff is very professional.
Excellent staff and food right next to the Marriott and convention center
10/10. Went for our anniversary and they treated us like royalty. Beautiful, understated atmosphere. Did the chefs tasting menu and every bite was perfect. Squash soup, tuna tartare, and ocean trout were our favorites. Left stuffed and happy. Easy walk from red line metro too.
One of the tastiest meals I’ve had in DC. The panko crusted pork was the best I’ve ever had. The salmon dish we had at the time (this was awhile ago) was cooked flawlessly and mouthwateringly seasoned. Service was a little slow but at least they kept bringing us bread for free while we waited. Very elegant interior, very hushed atmosphere, beautiful decor. I’m going to go back to try the chefs menu soon!
My wife and I were looking forward to dining here while visiting DC. We were very very disappointed. To start…the wine glass on the table was filthy. The ordered drinks came 5 minutes apart. The appetizers came 10 minutes apart. The empty app plates sat for 15 minutes while the staff chatted around the corner. We then sat for 35 minutes without our entrees in sight. We gave up and asked for the check without getting our food. The one thing they did right…they did comp the apps and drinks but we will never return. There are too many great restaurants in DC.
The $85 chef's menu recently at Corduroy was the perfect choice for a special occasion dinner with friends. The menu includes an amuse bouche, fish courses, meat courses and dessert. Each presentation had finesse but two standouts were the pan seared ocean trout that was brackish, sweet and buttery and the crispy panko pork that was delicate and juicy, simply seasoned to allow the meat to be the star. A variety of flawless desserts which ranged from sorbets to a chocolate torte, was the perfect end to a birthday celebration. The dining room was quiet and modern and the service was professional and unobtrusive. The wine list is outstanding with ample wines by the glass to match the menu. Chef Power's accomplished cuisine reminded me of what fine dining used to be before the DC takeover of celebrity chefs and fast casual establishments, masquerading as fine dining!
The 5 course chef’s tasting menu is a phenomenal deal (really 6 courses including dessert)! We came with a group of 5 and left absolutely stuffed. They were also very accommodating of dietary restrictions. My favorite part of the meal was that they brought us 5 different desserts to share.
