I was invited to this restaurant twice and told it was some of the best food around San Marcos. Unfortunately, this is not the case. I have given the restaurant 2 attempts and both were poor. On my first attempt, I ordered the beef wellington. This can be a tough dish to cook. Unfortunately mine was ordered medium rare and was served well done. The manager was called over and did not offer a replacement or compensation on my bill. Try #2, I decided to go for the tuna. Once again, extremely disappointed. Believe it or not, I have had better tuna at the airport! This was tough and dried out. If you need a nice place to eat and don't care about the quality of the food, this is a local spot that will work just fine. However, I would prefer to make the trip to Austin or New Braunfels and get a feel that is better quality, better atmosphere and for less cost.
Food was excellent. Service was not to par.. Kid-friendliness: Have chicken tenders and fruit for the kids. They where awesome. My son only eats chick fila and pizza but he tore these up
Husband and I had a nice date night out. We sat at the bar, had a fabulous house margarita on the rocks and shared a number of appetizers with the Shokupan and Bacon-Wrapped Poblano being 2 of our favorites. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.
Absolutely one of the best places for a date night with your partner. Constantly updated menu items, great cocktails and ambiance. Will be visiting again real soon!
