Food is authentic and tasty. They were out of something and had to substitute, but it was okay.
This place is an absolute gem. I had the birria and it was fantastic. The prices are fair and the service was very good..I would absolutely go out of my way to come back and I would like to try everything on the menu.
The food was just OK but I literally went there expecting the price to be the same as the website $13 for dorado combo it was actually $22. For that I’ll go sit down for actual Birria taco dinner… far as taste and preparation it wasn’t worth $20 at all.
Steak tacos were amazing!
I've seen a review of this place on IG and was in the neighborhood so we decided to try it. It honestly fell short. We got the windy city fries with barbacoa, fries well done and three tacos. The fries weren't well done and soggy. We were told the tacos would be crispy. So we ordered tripa crispy - the outside was just regular tortilla, not at all crispy. The well done tripa was also not crispy at all. It has potential for the prices, but I felt it was underwhelming.
A cute little spot we heard about from TikTok. The lady who took our order was very sweet and welcoming. We got the quesa Birria combo and ribeye burrito. The meat was well flavored. We loved the fresh salsas. Finally some flavor in the west burbs!
Service was meh but the employees do need to learn their own menu. My wife ordered the birra tacos combo and it says on the menu “all combos come with rice and beans” we got our food and she didn’t get the rice and beans. When she asked about it she was told they don’t come with it. Third time in here no issue’s until now.
The Dorado combo with Barbacoa was amazing. The consume’ was killer.
Closed as of 1/8/24. No details given. Edit: my 2nd visit wasn't as good as the first. They had hip hop music blaring, about 3 times an appropriate volume for background music. A casual conversation, or even relaxing over lunch, was impossible. They need to keep in mind the background music should be to create an environment for the customers, not for them to jam to while they work. Food still good, though. Was passing by and saw it, decided to stop in. Everything fresh and delicious, decent portions. The Windy City Fries looks like it would be TOO much. If they weren't so far away from home, I'd eat here regularly.
