Really nice people, gave me free cupcakes because we accidentally mixed up an order for my birthday cake.
I always come here for the famous Hawaiian Chantilly cake. Bought a take home piece but usually here to buy my oldest son's favorite birthday cake.
Order the Chantilly cake for our daughter sweet 16th birthday. It was Our favorite cake . Definitely ordering again ❤️
I used to love the cakes from Cakes of Paradise but my recent experience was terrible. The cream they use is not real whipped cream. It's just white stuff that tastes very artificial like eating soft plastic. I also tried a lilikoi bar and it was one of the worst desserts I've ever had. It tasted nothing like lilikoi and had a gummy texture, not custardy like a lemon bar. It was just a yellow bar bland dough. It's too bad the quality has taken such a downturn because they used to be my go-to place for tropical dessert flavors.
No doubt, their cakes are colorful, flavorful, and (too) moist. But they have too much sugar and air too be substantial. Same comments apply to their whipped cream. All in all, a piece of their cake is like a piece of porous angel food cake topped with thawed Cool Whip that is rescued from sitting overnight in the Seattle rain :) (2014)
My boyfriend had a surprise birthday party for me and last minute ordered a cake from Cakes of Paradise Bakery! This was one of the best cakes I've ever had, if not the best! Real fruit, beautiful decor with real flowers, and whip cream frosting that melted right in your mouth. The cake was beautiful and delicious, we will definitely be ordering from here again.
