It was one of our favorite places to go to and did not expect the kind of reception we got. There was no hostess to greet you at the door. A person decides to come up after five minutes and clearly showed her unwillingness to add to a waiting list as a walk in. This was with multiple open tables in the house. Hope this bad service was their one off day.
I can’t say enough about how amazing this locally owned restaurant is. I have always received Great Service and Outstanding Food from Cafe Lola!! 5 Stars isn't a high enough ranking!!
Great food, great atmosphere, love Cafe Lola
Cafe Lola has a great atmosphere, food, and service. It’s one of my favorite spots, and I’m so glad it’s in the tri-cities! We mostly have dinner there, but I LOVE their brunch and special events like wine pairings or teas.
It was a lovely dinner. I especially like the atmosphere. The server was great, but they were short staffed, so other staff assisted.
The mocktails were very tasty and they looked very good. The shrimp cocktail was okay, the sauce was not amazing. The steak was also okay, it was missing some flavor. The aioli fries were a disappointment honestly. The ravioli was the best dish hands down. Their salads were also really good.
I ordered take out for lunch for a work event. For starters, on the online menu it says the mac and cheese comes with a side. However the rude girl over the phone today would NOT honor the side and said “that’s weird, it just doesn’t”. The mac and cheese was $11 and was a small side portion, maybe 5 bites. It also has onions all over it and didn’t say it came with onions. Something in the mac and cheese and grilled cheese panini tastes very perfume like. And there is hardly any cheese on it. The ice in the tea is melted and watered down. Then when I went to pay, it was $4 more on my bill than the correctly calculated fee. I asked the staff and they told me that was the credit card fee. The staff were also completely rude and thankfully I checked the bag before leaving because I was missing two items and had to ask the staff to get them. It’s safe to say I will never be returning and telling everyone I know to never go. UPDATE: my co-worker just told me there was a hair in her spinach artichoke dip! YUCK! This place is the WORST in Johnson City
