Brennan’s is a signature, vital Southern and NOLA dining experience. While Bananas Foster gets the love as the iconic dish and is certainly a must try if you’ve never had it, the Cochon de Lait is a masterpiece of fruitful and tender juicy notes that leaves you awestruck and savoring more.
I traveled a long way to try the Bananas fosters only to have my waiter rush the process and not get the whole experience I hoped for. The recipe calls for caramelized bananas. We never got the bread and butter; waiter Kevin overlooked us. And was loud and yelling all over the place. Dirty plates sat before us for quite a while before dessert was served. Not worth it
$100+ for breakfast for 2 seems a little overkill for the quality/quanity of food. The atmosphere was cool but that’s almost every restaurant in Nola. I would recommend pretty much any other restaurant including Krystal’s before going to this place. You will spend a lot less money and leave not hungry.
Great experience for a larger group. They know how to make the birthday person feel special!
Best meal I’ve had in the US, and that’s saying something.
A must for breakfast. Food was scrumptious. Service impeccable.
