The amazing part about this place is that food is amazing. We had the Fancy & Furious, Mistletoe, 2-14, Naughty Ninja, and B.A.D & Boujee rolls as well as the Crispy Rice Tuna starter. Everything there was delicious. The chefs get a 5 star review every day of the week. My drop to 3 stars comes from the server that I had. For a $150-200 night I am expecting an attentive server, what I got was a server who only really stopped if I was able to catch him walking by. Not sure if that is because we didn't order alcohol since neither of us drink or if he was a new server but sitting for 5 mins or so without getting a refill on water (which did not come until we were literally done eating) is not ok. When we did stop him the service was fast but this is not what you expect when paying for a high end experience. Also, I feel like I may be "getting old" even though it was only my 25th birthday that we celebrated. It was very loud in the place and made it hard to talk to my fiancé sitting right next to me. Add on to that that the only thing they do for birthdays is a shot of Sake is just kinda sad when you've given up alcohol.
Good not Great sushi. This was my first time at Billy Sushi and while I enjoyed it, I came away feeling like it was over-hyped to me. Had their "Beyond Here Lies Nothing" which is their riff on an Old Fashioned. It was delicious and I absolutely recommend it if that's your jam. For rolls we shared the NoLo YoLo, Naughty Ninja, and Tiger Maki. The NoLo YoLo was good, but the amount of avocado was a little too much for me. The Tiger Maki was very tasty but seemed like there was something physically warm in the roll to me which was off putting. The Naughty Ninja was delicious and the best one of the 3. Service was good and friendly but I was put off by the abrupt dropping off of the check without asking if we wanted anything else, as well as their asking us to leave shortly after the bill was paid despite their being open tables elsewhere in the restaurant. All in all, would I go back yes. Would I recommend it, probably not.
Excellent service, Connor was fantastic. Food was good, though somewhat overpriced and was not up to the standards I was expecting.
Quality has gone down since 2019 while prices have gone up. Slimey cilantro in my roll. For $30/roll you are getting ok. Idk how this place turned into a destination restaurant.
Best service and great food
High quality sushi with great service BUT we were greeted by a hostess saying that we only had 90 minutes so that other people can eat too… ??? very unwelcoming, first of all! Second of all, were we at McDonald’s?… people go to a restaurant to enjoy their meals and conversation and not shove their food as fast as possible, especially for the price. What happened to our restaurant culture? Very sad. At the end, it was very awkward as we were still talking and our server just brought the check without asking if we wanted anything else. Big turn off for me, so next time I might go somewhere else where my business is appreciated and I’m welcome.
Just look around the corner and enjoy.
Amazing. I have been to Tokyo and across Japan, and this is the best sushi in the US.
Sushi with good quality, very pricey though. The place was kind of tight. We were out for our anniversary and it did not feel special because there was other people sitting so close to us. They can hear our conversation and we can hear theirs. We had a moment where the other table and us just stayed quiet because we can hear each other's conversation. I would recommend this place though because the fish quality and food. This time we ordered the omakase, it was a nice 5 course meal.
