Bardea Steak

Went to Bardea with about 10 other people for a celebration and while the portions were a little small for the price, the food was very good. And the service was top notch, especially our server Luke. The reason for the 1 star review is because in addition to the automatic gratuity, which I completely understand with larger parties, there was another 3% "Employee Benefits" charge tacked on at the end. The restaurant claims that the charge isn't required and can be removed at the behest of the customer, but in my opinion it's extremely shady behavior to even add it in the first place. The employer should be paying the employees a liveable wage and benefits, NOT THE PATRONS. Because of this disgusting attempt to squeeze customers for more money I won't be returning to Bardea and will not recommend them to anyone else either.

Absolutely awesome! The 6 of us enjoyed every minute of our experience. I would have gotten more pictures but to be honest, I was blown away by it all and just enjoyed each moment. From our engaging and efficient server (Brandon), the fun sommelier (I wish I remembered his name), and each and every plate that arrived (raw oysters, delectable lobster rolls, luscious meatballs and incredible Iberico pork appetizer…then our entrees, onto dessert) just wonderful! Did I mention wine? Delish suggestions and our sommelier had a blast with us! Brandon answered every question with enthusiasm and you can feel the love he has for his job! Oh and the dessert drink list…phenomenal. When I return to Wilmington, this will be a must…even if for a glass of wine and appetizer at the beautiful bar. Pictured in post are the gorgeous menu cover, the Holstein steak with a Chimichurri crema , desserts of bananas foster & lemon tart, and a handwritten “thank you” card from Brandon alongside a perfect espresso martini.

For the price, the food should be much better, particularly the steak, but also the "deconstructed" $15 baked potato. Salad and mushrooms sides were the only thing to save the food rating.

Went here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our expectations were blown away! Our waiter Phil was AMAZING he answered all our many questions and recommendations about the menu and was so genuine and kind. The food was amazing but also a beautiful experience and for parents of a newborn in desperate need of a good meal and a special night out you all rocked it.

The steak is great, but don't overlook the sides and appetizers!

Irritating. Have a reservation and you still have to wait 45 min for your table. EVERY SINGLE TIME we come to either Bardea. Get your books together Bardea, this is redonkulous.

A delightful treat. Pass my expectations. Delmonico was awesome.
