I loved everything about this place the food, music, ambiance, decor, wine, non-alcoholic drinks, and friendliness. I was very pleasantly surprised to find a great foodie spot at Bar Nohm in Utah. It just nails so many of my favorite appreciations. I came back to try out as much of the menu as possible. They added a duck bossam-like item on the menu, and it's amazing. The beef belly dish (my favorite) and Asian pear salad are both each large enough for me to take leftovers for lunch the next day, which allows me to try a bunch of other dishes for dinner. The snapper and skewers are great appetizers. They had this non-alcoholic Parch agave cocktail that I really appreciated. The environment is relaxing and lively. I enjoyed sitting at the bar and the chefs counter. Everyone is very welcoming and great to talk to. It's also great to just relax and read a book. It's the perfect type of ambiance that I enjoy after a long day of work. Highly recommend.
Bar Nohm is a hidden gem. My friends and I tried this place for the first time last week - one of them is visiting from DC and the other from NYC, and are real foodies - and we all loved this place. First, the ambience is excellent. warm, cozy, and comfortable, with a little hidden area by the kitchens that blocks out all the sound from the busy bar area. The colors and textures of the decor are upscale with playful details. Second, the cocktails are super fun and inventive. Third, the food is phenomenal with lots of interesting flavors and textures that provide a fun experience for anyone from the most adventurous eater to the most cautious. I highly recommend!
NOHM is literally mind blowing! One of the best spots in Utah. I highly recommend!
Really, really good and deserving of the James Beard. If you’re in SLC, don’t miss this spot.
Generally okay, but not somewhere I’d really want to go again.
Super cool vibe and ambiance. I hate saying it like this, but very hip. The food was great, not mind blowing, but great. I have a feeling that if I could have had more of the menu that I would have liked it even more, I would love to go back. Perfect date spot. Here is what we had: - panisse: the aioli was great but I couldn't help but feel like I'd rather have a French fry. I would skip next time. - chicken wings: incredible, probably my favorite plate I've had in 2024. Must get. - kimchi rice: yummy. Almost like a paella. Would get again. - curry dip: probably the surprise dish of the night. Incredibly flavorful curry and unique way to eat curry. Would get again. - miso pork skewer: pretty good, nothing amazing. - pork belly skewer: it's more like a bacon wrapped mushroom. I really liked this. Dietary restrictions: Fully gluten free menu
