Zooba

Zooba has been recognized by the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants list for 3 years running (2022, 2023, 2024) as well as by Bon Appetit’s top 100 restaurants in New York list in 2020. Born in Cairo by restaurateur Chris Khalifa and Executive Chef Moustafa Elrefaey, Zooba is redefining Egyptian cuisine and taking liberties with traditional staples. The menu is rooted in Egyptian street eats like Ful, Hawawshi, Koshari, and Taameya (Egyptian Falafel) as well as home cooked dishes that have, over time, become a cornerstone of Egypt’s culinary heritage. These include Cairene Molokheyya, ‘Kabab Hala’ Braised Lamb Shank, and an Alexandrian ‘Singari’ Branzino.
