Everything was really good. Had the Starter sharing place (for 2 persons). Worth every penny. The portions of the main are quite generous so you won't leave hungry. Only criticism I have would be about the Nasi Lemak. The chicken and the sauce were fantastic - but I think the little fried fish / fish sauce and the boiled egg did not fit the rest of the dish. Would definitely visit again
Used to be the best Chinese in Oxford. Still very good but had lost its edge. See my reviews for the current best Chinese IMHO.
Probably the best authentic Malaysian cuisine in Oxford. One request please answer your phone during the day as it was a little difficult to make a phone reservation.
The takeaways are small compared to the price you pay and I'm looking at the pics and the definitely give you more food when you dine in. I mean a dish cost 14-17 quid as takeaway... what is annoying is the dried chillies doesnt even get incorporated in the cooking it is more garnished... like it doesn't hit the oil doesn't add to the flavour and it's hard to stomach... I love my chillies
Superb meal. group of 13 treated to a chefs table of starters, duck pancakes and main courses brought out to feast on. Lovely use of chilli and szeuchuan, unlike your typical Chinese restaurant. Highly recommended.
Very good Malaysian Chinese restaurant. Firstly there are no pork dishes, but the food is very good quality, lots of Malaysian, Singaporean, and Chinese staples are available. All are cooked well but those familiar with chinese food may find some slight differences such as the szechuan aubergine is not as savoury and without the salted fish that is common in Cantonese version. Salt and pepper squid is good, mango chicken, crispy chicken, gan ban, nasi lehmak, rendang are all good. I think the Malaysian and Singaporean dishes are better overall. The puddings are very good, the warm rice pudding was good but the sago trifle like one was very refreshing. Staff are really friendly and accommodating, they are happy to answer any questions you have. Highly recommended.
