Personally, my favorite authentic sushi experienc, hands down. I have been coming here since I was in college, when it was in my staple of lunch options, and it was my first experience with sushi outside of supermarket offerings. The fish is always super fresh and delicious. I've seen options here that I don't see in a lot of other popular venues and swear by my favorites: tamago, New York roll (that crisp bite of fresh sliced apple!! Why do other places not do this?), And spicy tuna roll. The spicy tuna is not that horrid mayo affair you find at other restaurants, but delicious and bright red with what I believe is sriracha). I have had Yoshi obligingly create a spicy tekka don for me because I am so obsessed with his version of spicy tuna. I have yet to find anyone else's spicy tuna that comes close. Yes, it is a small establishment and yes, you do have to wait for your food depending on how busy it is, but like another reviewer said, it is a mom and pop establishment so come with that expectation. I love this place and am perfectly content to wait for my sushi because I know how amazing the taste is. My only dilemma now is figuring out a way to get up here more often so I don't have to settle for other, inferior sushi places!

2024 UPDATE: and just like that, they're back in the game. The lady owner is a bit stoic and borderline rude and I've never heard of the male chef saying a word. But their food is great. AUG 2019 UPDATE: It's with such heavy heart I have to change my review but this place is no longer the same place I once used to like. First of all, the stale cigarette smoke smell masked with air freshner reminded me of walking into a cheap motel as we were entering. The lady who used to greet us well hardly acknowledged us at all. Maybe she was having a bad day. But most importantly, the quality of the rolls, rice that was made for the rolls, and even the tamagoyaki that used to make them stand out out of the all the sushi places around here was not up to par. Thank God we discovered another place in Clifton Park but I won't be coming back here again. Such a loss... ------original post------ Seeing how they make their "egg roll" is normally a great indication of how good the sushi restaurant is. An "egg roll", aka tamagoyaki, should be fluffy with a slight sweet taste. (Kuma Ani has it all burnt and rubbery) Yoshi sushi has fresh sushi, prepared according to the old school method, that you don't even get in the main land Japan anymore thesedays.. The price is a bit on the higher end if you are used to the all you can eat sushi places but it is worth the money.

Casual dining and great food. Prices are reasonable. Not many authentic sushi places in the area, Yoshi Sushi is authentic. We will be back.

Wish this place was bigger :( I’d bring a huge group here because the sushi is such high quality. Especially the spicy salmon and tuna, usually it’s ground up but this place serves real pieces of fresh fish. And it’s actually spicy!!! Unlike a lot of western influenced places. I highly recommend coming here for authentic, genuine, and high quality rolls. I consider myself a sushi connoisseur (been eating sushi all my life all over the country) and this place definitely took my #1 spot.
