Yellow City Street Food is a hidden gem in Amarillo! I was particularly impressed with their extensive selection of vegan options, which were all bursting with flavor. They also have a great selection of craft beers on tap and in cans, making it the perfect spot for a casual lunch or dinner with friends. The atmosphere is both quaint and lively, and the staff is friendly and patient. I highly recommend Yellow City Street Food and will definitely be going back often! My only complaint is the awkward and confusing parking lot. Parking: Immediate parking around building seems limited
Good food. The animal fries are awesome.
This plaza is such a diamond in the rough. It’s so unexpectedly good. Highly recommend. And their selection of craft beers is amazing.
Fresh made food with inventive recipes- and great local beer!
Out of Amarillo’s roughly 500 dining establishments, Yellow City Street Food is my favorite. Maybe it’s because I love the alternative scene, or maybe it’s because I like progressive American fare done right. YCSF scores highly in both regards. You can dress up or down, show your tats and piercings (or none), and dine with a very diverse group of people who have come to know that YCSF loves all and serves all. And that is evident on the menu board, which has evolved through the years from whatever they felt like making on any given day, to what is now a strong group of items that appear every day, with everyone covered. Vegan? Vegetarian? Omnivore? They love all of us. In addition to amazing delicious food, they have an impressive rotating selection of craft beers. You won’t find any mass-produced swill running through their taps or taking up space in the fridge. On this visit I had one each of the Dragon Tofu Taco and the Imposter Taco. Both are vegan, the former featuring huge chunks of lightly fried tofu, the latter with similarly fried cremini mushrooms. A heavenly vegan remoulade tops both. I washed it down with an IPA from Tupp’s Brewery. Two tacos are filling, but I confess to sometimes also getting a side of their Salt & Pepper Fries, which are to die for. Other times I have chosen their Veggie Burger as well as the Vegan Impossible Burger. And the omnivores who may be dining with me love everything from the “other side” of the menu. YCSF is a place that folks with different dietary bents can come together to celebrate a meal, and not have to worry if “their” specific type of food will be available. No judging allowed, just good food. Vegetarian options: There are numerous vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. You will not starve here!
