Absolutely superb fish and chips and their brewed beer was amazing. Kid-friendliness: Very amenable to families with small kids.
Second time eating here and we love the atmosphere, food and service. Sadly they will be shutting down at the end of January (Maybe they’ll have a change of mind with strong support!) Excellent wings (hot honey) and traditional fish and chips with curry sauce for chips (cut Irish style) Nice beers on tap and bands playing Irish music both times we’ve ate here. Bar area looks relaxing and inviting though we sat at a table.
The food is outstanding, the service was great. It was empty because of bad weather so no real atmosphere to speak of. Best fish and chips in Pennsylvania
loved it here ! very sad to hear that they were closing soon
Really enjoyed! Will return!

A taste of Ireland in Wyndmoor!
We have visited the Yankee Chipper now a few times and have really enjoyed it. The service is very good and the menu is getting better and better. They have had some really tasty specials recently...crab cakes with an awesome corn salad side. The fish and chips are amazing as well. The beer list on draft is great...not a ton of beers, but a very nice list and they are all brewed in PA. The Yankee Chipper brews its own as well. The stout is as good as Guinness, if not better. They also make great cocktails if that's your thing. They have also added tv's and high tops to the bar area. That combined with some of the menu items....wings, burgers among other nice options, make the Yankee Chipper not only a nice local restaurant to visit, but also a great place to catch a game, a stop for happy hour, or just to hang at bar with friends. It's a pretty low key atmosphere, which is really nice when you don't feel like fighting for space or a table. they also live music nights...not overwhelmingly loud or anything crazy. Highly recommend them....they are still relatively unknown, but when the word gets out, I would expect it to change.
