Vegetarian options: Vegan ramen is rich with flavor and so comforting!
This cart has some delicious food and the woman working was so stinking friendly!! It was my first time here and she helped to navigate the menu. We got to talking about other fun places to eat in the region, too. I had the planet earth vegetarian ramen and added the pork belly. The broth was so good! The chili oil added a great spice to it. The noodles- perfectly chewy. And the pickles throughout just really made for a well rounded bite. Maddy brought us some onigiri to try too- SEE, SO NICE! The mushroom was fantastic, and my dining partner loved the tuna. Yabai Nikkei was at the Oregon Wine Lab, and honestly, I’ll follow them anywhere.
Delicious fresh plates always leave me feeling full and happy. I love their Chicken teriyaki bowl, onigiri, and Pork belly sando with the option of a gluten free bun. They also make their own pickles which come as a delicious side! Don’t sleep on this delicious local gem.
I love bringing friends to Yabai and seeing their faces light up when they taste the first bite. Quality is always on point, the service and atmosphere are delightful, and the owner is still a humble, community-oriented Eugenian in spite of being one of *the* best chefs in the area. I highly recommend!
food was extremely tasty! service friendly too. pork belly sando literally melts in your mouth. tuna onigiri was 10/10, chicken more like 7/10. not bad but far from the tuna. definitely going back!
Amazing staff, amazing food, amazing service. Best ramen in eugene as far as I'm concerned. Perfect place to get a bowl of ramen on a rainy day. Come on by, you won't be disappointed.
This spot has a *killer* egg salad sando. Just got back from Japan a week ago and needed that itch scratched and they took great care of us. Owner is super cool and the menu is impressive and super reasonably priced for how good it is. Will be going back every time I’m in Eugene.
I have tried the "Sando" and Ramen from this food cart. The sandwich was yummy, but the Ramen was not very good. I paid $17 (not including tip) for their "Oki Doki" ramen which ended up coming with Tofu because they were out of pork. The broth was too salty and that was the main flavor that came through. I would've given it 3 stars if it wasn't very overpriced, I don't know why food trucks feel like it's okay to out price-inflate brick and mortar restaurants. I miss Da Nang.
