XL Center Sports Bar & Sportsbook

Tried this place twice as I live nearby. Wanted to love it but just couldn’t. Portion sizes are small (u can tell just by looking at the “8 oz burger” it’s actually a quarter pounder). Manager controlling the tv’s doesn’t seem to know what big games are on, and if u ask them to put a specific game on, it takes a solid 15-20 mins to get it up on any one of the TVs. However, place looks really nice and staff is friendly.

This sportsbook is downright terrible and completely a waste of time, the place is literally closed everyday hours before the advertised 10 PM close 7 days a week. The machines are even worse its a challenge just to place a wager the machines often glitch and shutdown over and over and your stuck looking at a blacked out screen and you have to wait for someone to come and help you reset your machine adm retrieve your money or voucher thats still in machine. Lastly the food is terrible its a total rip off for what your being charged and thats not even counting the fcat that the food/bar is only by credit or debit card only. This place is a dump they need a total revamp, new machines, new employees new cooks new everything honestly. Someone needs to take over this place ASAP because they are already complaining about losing money and not bringing in any profits but they do everything to hurt they chances of ever seeing a profit so I can see exactly why! ‍♂️ ‍♂️

Looks super sharp inside. Could work on their food game but the setup is awesome.

They clean there tables with pure bleach the spell is so strong it will make you nauseous!!!!! Need healthier cleaning products……

Everytime I try to go they are closed and it’s well within the posted business hours. Get there last night and they are open and I’m basically advised not to stay come back for football since they are closing. I find it hard to believe that, you all put yourself on the news recently about slow business people don’t know it’s there etc. Yet you have people come in and you send them away or your closed during your posted open hours. Personally I work in the bartending, restaurant industry you don’t send customers off. I think there needs to be a major change or this will come and go like all other Hartford spots. Such a waste since it looked pretty cool. I would have posted shared on my social where I have a big following as well as my friend who’s a known food blogger with a big following.

This sports bar is awesome. If you love sports ad good food it's a must in the Hartford area, very clean and feels safe. It's open 7 days a week as well which I was surprised.

You have to order your food off the qr reader. They dont take cash but is a gambling establistment makes no sense. You also have to tip and pay for your meal before you eat . Isnt that what you expect at mcdonalds. No bowl games on had to ask and it took then a ton of time to change the station as whoever the lady was in control of the tv looked lost Parking: Not worth paying to park download the app and stay home

Whoever was the architect that designed the layout definitely doesn't watch sports. My neck is throbbing from having to look high up in a narrow space to watch the TVs. The bar has the lowest chairs I ever seen too. Food was decent but that's about it.
