Wrice BBQ

Mr. Wrice was very friendly and made sure to make me laugh. This was our first time here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Best bbq we have gotten so far since living here.

Best food in Texas City!!! Parking: Many parking spots. Kid-friendliness: Very friend to all kids!! Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs are able to get in and out of this amazing bbq place.

Kinda expensive for what it is but was open and we got what we needed.

Old school corner gasoline station turned into a BBQ joint which is really cool.Good place to catch a game, play pool and mingle with friends. Food is good, service is great, tell Poptart hello for me. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access, picnic tables all around

My wife and I were looking for a good Texas BBQ restaurant, and being the inexperienced non-locals that we are, simply googled “bbq restaurant.” We decided to go with Wrice BBQ after seeing it didn’t have terrible reviews and the pictures of the food looked more than edible. We got there and ordered a couple of combo plates, and upon ordering my food I thought to myself that the guy who took my order was very pleasant (as I’m used to what my home state Oregon generally has to offer, which is often subpar at best.) My wife and I sat down to enjoy our meals, which were delicious, at the perfect time, too, as it was an off hour and the restaurant was empty. Out came the gentleman that took our order, along with his wife. Come to find out, it was Mr. and Mrs. Wrice themselves, and they were wonderful folks that were great company during our meal. Long story short, I’d highly recommend Wrice BBQ for some great food and people.

Nice little BBQ joint. Music on point, food is good and prices are fair. We sat outside in nice weather.

I'd been by here several times and thought to stop there sometime, and today I did. I think I have never been as warmly welcomed anywhere. Mr Wrice came out to meet me in the portico, and brought me in to show me around and we talked for 10 minutes before he asked how could he help. I told him what I liked and he custom cut it for me. We talked some more and I left with a pound of brisket, chopped to order. Mr Wrice is a one man operation weekdays so call ahead, but Fridays and weekends he calls in the crew. The brisket? I'll be getting mine at Mr Wrice's place.
