Wolfie's Deli

I've been looking for a good quality deli since Katz's deli closed a few years ago. Terrific quality thinly cut pastrami. I asked to a very lean sandwich and I got just what I asked for. They have rally good fries too.

While the sandwich might have been good, it certainly wasn't worth the $20 price tag. The meat seemed to be straight from a Deli company, making it feel like something I could have made at home, and the coleslaw had a sour taste. Additionally, there was an uncomfortable argument between the owner and another employee, possibly their wife, which detracted from the overall experience. To make matters even worse, they had a picture of Doug Ford on their wall...

Fresh, tender and moist corned beef, and they are not stingy with the meat, at all. Excellent sandwich, friendly staff, was quite busy in there too which is a good sign. Keep up the good work.

What in the world took me so long to write this review ... the best food in the city !!! ... and ... how do you top the "best food" ... ??? ... how bout the friendliest service ... FIVE STAR ... go once ... you'll be back ... like me !!!! ... I write this with as much love as you put into your tasty sandwiches and other delights ... Lorne

First time but not the last time!!! Best corned beef sandwich in Canada!!!

Yesterday was the first time I ordered from Wolfie's and it was online. I ordered corn beef sandwich, kishka and knish. Since there was no choice of knish I ordered potato. Sammy called about the order and said there is only beef which I said was fine. I also asked him about my lean corn beef and he said it would be a bit dry and to order the next one down which I did. I also asked him if I could get my corn beef sliced thin and he said he will do it anyway I liked. I also asked for mustard on it. When I got the food the kishka was delicious and the corn beef was exactly the way I asked for it and I thoroughly enjoyed it that I had to call and tell him. Will have no problem ordering from them again.

I was there for lunch yesterday. The smoked meat sandwich was amazing. I will go there again soon. Also, I really liked the equipment there.
