Wimpy

Popped in here for tea after some shopping. Love a Wimpy and they are now few and far between unfortunately. We had 2 quarter pounders with cheese and chips, 2 kids meal deals(excellent value) and an all day breakfast. With 3 thick shakes and 2 fizzy drinks. We were the only ones in there so wait time was minimal. Food was fresh and piping hot and an absolute hit. Kids had a waffle pudding, which they loved. All servers were friendly and polite. Toilets were down stairs and clean. Highly recommend

the low 2 stars rating is purely for the food it has been a while since I was served microwaved food in a restaurant its too bad cause the service was fine

I regularly visit Basingstoke Wimpy. The staff are so kind, welcoming and accommodating. They make you feel special by remembering your usual order. I would like to thank George, Meghan and Sumira for consistently delivering excellent customer service! Many thanks to you all.

Everything was great, just knocked 1 star off for price being a little high..however maybe I need to pay more for this kind of quality!

Great food for the money, but a dude in an apron kept barking orders at his minions at high volume which kinda ruined things.

A really nice cafe. The staff were very accommodating, I have food intolerances and the staff were very helpful with finding something that I could eat. We took our 4 year old granddaughter, they have special children's meal deals which she enjoyed. I asked the staff if they had any crayons or anything for colouring. Instead they gave us a board game complete with counters and a dice. We all enjoyed playing the game.

It was the first time I had been to Wimpy since 1980s in Reading the food was delicious and the people were helpful and friendly
