It’s a bar with an earthy, gritty charm…servers were punctilious. Its run-down dive-bar feel is evaporated instantly when you order a “pint” and see the glass that has been shrunken so as to increase profits. I used to go here years ago….maybe some corporation has purchased it…if not, the owner is eying retirement. Don’t go here to watch sports…you will be told (with snark) that the volume is “only put on for playoff games.” It’s a bar that used to feel like an island of resistance against gentrification but it’s now just an ATM for the proprietor. Wings are awful.
It took quite a long time for the servers to notice us, come to our table to bring us the menu and take our orders; the basket of fries was terrible, the drink was ok. There was also music playing in the background but the volume was sooo low and we couldn't really enjoy it ! We even asked the server to turn it up and she said that she couldn't! Not the best place to hang out for young people...
Food was amazing as well as the service. Especially loved the homemade chili. It was pretty loud with the music and full restaurant.
Place was very dirty and a floor spill was not ever cleaned up and it wasn't busy. Asked for golf on TV and never did get it. Won't rush back. What's wrong with these places. What happened to customer service! Seemed like waitresses didn't care
Staff and beer are on point. Always a time at the West Town! Kid-friendliness: My kids Adore the West Town
Great setting and burgers
