Friendly staff, good range plus activities for kids.
We went to Wentworth Heritage Garden for our grandson to complete their Easter Trail. The trail was well thought out and not too onerous for an 8 year old. He completed the trail, got the answers correct, and enjoyed his prize of sweets. The gardens are well maintained, and the paths were not muddy despite the persistent rain of late. It was lovely to see the resident deers enjoying their lunch. All in all a good day out. An improvement would be to provide a toilet facility within the heritage garden as it's a long way to trek from the garden to use the ones within the restaurant or the courtyard.
I don't like writing negative reviews but I feel I have to write this. I've just had a delivery of garden furniture costing almost £1000. For some reason, 2 reclining chairs, 2 large cushions, and a table (admittedly the table is fairly small, as it sits between the 2 chairs as a side table. But still, a decent size. ) all fitting in 1 cardboard box. A separate box housing the 2 footrests. And only 1 delivery personnel. I explained that I couldn't help him as I'm literally off work with a bad back. He never answered me, just looked. We live in an over 60s bungalow so everywhere is narrow. He managed to hoik the smaller of the 2 boxes round the back but said that he would have to leave the second at the front of the house I asked if it could be left against the side of the house, which he did. (Less prying eyes to see just what we'd had delivered.) The whole time the man was struggling to even get the box, which was nearly as big as me, on to a tiny trolly. I felt uncomfortable, as I knew that the guy was really struggling. He half-heartedly asked if I wanted him to unpack it. Now, I am a people pleaser. I hate it when people let me know that they're struggling. I have a bad back. I'm 63 this year. I live in an over 60s bungalow. He shouldn't have asked if I wanted him to unpack it like that. The furniture should have been unpacked in the van. There was plenty of room as there were no more boxes in the van. My husband is 66 years old, is still working and doesn't want to be coming home to that. But I still said no. I shouldn't have been asked. We've paid enough money for the furniture, and delivery on top. Not happy.
Great choice of plants, well presented. Café is to die for! Shop has gifts that are out of the ordinary - great presents. We go regularly just for a break - usually end up buying something!
Sehe sehr schön. Die Preise im Shop sind allerdings sehr teuer. Aber es gibt für jeden etwas.
