Wasabi Japanese Restaurant

Absolutely blown away by this hidden gem of a restaurant! It's a true 5-star experience that deserves more recognition. The service is impeccable, and don't even get me started on the sushi – it's simply divine! Fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! Reasonably priced, too!

Japanese food is fine but they have NO clue on how to cook Chinese food. I had to order her because my wife loves sushi. Bourbon Chicken was a joke. Overcooked chicken that I could've made a pair of leather boots with...Obviously we had takeout and the surprise happened at home. Wasted $13.

I like this place the best in the area. The service is always good, friendly, and professional. The food is consistent.

My fiance and I bought 5 rolls for around $70 including tip for take out. Only one (The Jacky) was remotely edible. Everything else was mid. The Volcano roll tasted like something you would buy from a Publix sushi station at the end of the day after it had been sitting for several hours and the firecracker roll I literally had to spit out because the fishy taste was so overwhelming. I love raw sushi, but a cooked roll should not taste like spoiled cat fish. The service desk was extremely nice when I went to get my order, but the food itself, compared to the price was not worth it.

Cute little intimate restaurant. Food is always delicious. Staff are always kind. It’s one of the hidden gems in Gainesville.
