I have been "randomly" asked for a receipt for the past 10 consecutive visits to this store. I understand it may be policy to ask to check when there are no bags but, when the other walmart I frequent in Illinois has never asked me for a receipt when I also never have any bags it leads me to believe I am being singled out deliberately. Also the amount of workers that watch self checkout instead of running registers is ludicrous. Either trust your customers or put more people on the register and remove the self checkouts.
I'm writing to express my frustration with a recent experience at the Walmart located in Lake Geneva. I was stopped by an elderly woman at the exit for a receipt check, and the encounter was extremely unpleasant.
The elderly woman was rude and condescending, treating me as if I were a suspect rather than a valued customer. Their tone was harsh, and they seemed more interested in asserting authority than providing any semblance of customer service. The way they handled the situation was embarrassing and disrespectful, making the entire experience uncomfortable.
I understand the need for security measures, but they should be conducted professionally and courteously. This experience has left a very negative impression on me, and I hope Walmart addresses this issue to improve customer interactions in the future.
