You can always count on Walk-on’s to have fantastic food from a fantastic diverse menu and great service. We came for a large family meal, and it was an absolute pleasure. I did not realize until tonight that the devils on horseback that I enjoy so much are also available in the non-fried, oh-so-perfectly glazed version on grits, and it was an absolute treat! Great for dates or family meals or just to watch the games while you’re treated to some of the very best food! We will be back as usual!

Hickory burger is the best I get it all the time always consistent

Our waitress was really good! I took a star off in that department because I asked for extra ranch and I was brought two small sauce cup s that want even halfway full. The restaurant is itself is very appealing but the food was garbage. My husband had the catfish that was so overcooked it was like powder inside the breading. Our kids got 3 small chicken tenders that weren’t even the length of your index finger and one of our daughters “fries” were literally crumbs. The fries my husband and I got were extremely stale like they had been out all day. They were also drowned in Cajun seasoning so they were overly salty. I had the gator tacos and while they actually were really good I seriously question if what was in it or not was actually gator. It looked and tasted like popcorn chicken (I’m familiar with the taste of gator as I’m Cajun myself) I left seriously questioning if I was charged $16 for popcorn chicken in my tacos. The restaurant overall was empty minus one table across from us. They ended up leaving and it looked like they took about 2 bites out of their food. Both of these observations were red flags to me. Way too expensive for the stuff they are putting out.

I ordered a simple chicken boomer sandwich with just lettuce and Gouda cheese, but after waiting 35 minutes, the order was incorrect. When I informed the waitress, she merely took the sandwich back and added lettuce and a piece of unmelted cheese.

Service was ok, food was ok, but the table was sticky, server didn’t know what food items they were out of (at lunchtime), the floor was sticky, silverware was not clean, and my apple in my salad still had the sticker on it. Not impressed.
