I suggest not eating here. The food was not bad by any means, but the service was absolutely horrendous. Easily the worst service I've ever had. We tried ordering roughly 7 different things to which the waitress said "we don't have that." It was wild. They brought our food out and the side dressing was forgotten and mentioned. No big deal. But then the waitress left the food on the stand to go get the dressing and didn't return for 10 minutes while our food sat there. We got up and served ourselves. Do yourself a favor and take a small drive to somewhere else.

THIS HAS LOCATION like no other hotel The owners must be deaf&blind!they have a gold mine but treat it tho it’s in some lost place.we live close & go in shear desperation/like 2 feet of snow & can’t get anywhere else/staff is nice/food is gross/besides university’s population there are about 900 +- residences (condos) affluent and elderly that eat out - this place could serve them But does NO OUTREACH No business sense that’s for sure!

Great hotel bar. Very large. Staff was really quick at getting our drinks. Was a nice place to hang out in between wedding activities in the garden

Great food and service. We love staying here and having a place to eat great food after graduation. We ate three excellent meals here and the servers were welcoming and attentive even with a very busy weekend!

They literally served everyone around us as we waited watching them serve everyone else. They are racist is the issue. Whites only

This used to be a fun place to grab a beer and visit after work but now they want you to pay $5 for up to 9 hours of parking. I want to pop in and leave, not get a room. Add that to the standard hotel bar markup and it's just not worth it. I'll be heading to Foothill Village instead.

We walked in and there were three tables that hadn’t been cleared and cleaned and noticed a lot of food left on the plates. (This should have been a red flag and had we recognized it for what it was - a sign - we should have gone down the street to eat at the Corner Bakery.) There was very loud, very hard rock music being blasted in the restaurant, and into the rest of the hotel, and it was quite inappropriate and not conducive to conversation. The older woman who seated us at the one clean table boxed in by three dirty ones was impossible to hear or understand. It was freezing cold and my husband was wearing an insulated jacket and I was well chilled in spite of wearing a sweater. Finally a young woman named Ren came to take our order and she was nice. I ordered the Cobb Salad and my husband ordered a chicken quesadilla. We watches and 35 minutes later the process began of clearing the dirty tables and resetting them. It was a Friday evening and several other couples had walked in and looked at the two dirty booths and dirty table for two. Another 10 minutes went by an Ren said our food would be ready shortly. We had watched at least two other tables that came in after us be served ahead of us. When ours finally arrived I can honestly say it was the least appealing Cobb Salad I’ve ever had, but that was nothing compared to the quesadilla that came with sour cream, salsa and guacamole. My husband had spread the condiments on top of the quesadilla and then I could see he really wasn’t eating it. I thought perhaps it was spicy and he offered me some. I don’t know if the salsa was tainted, or the rubbery chicken had spoiled, but it was disgusting and I can count on one hand the number of times I have ever done this: I spit it out and then wiped my tongue off with my napkin. It’s really a wonder we didn’t end up with food poisoning, it was so gross and disgusting. Just thinking about it I could vomit and it was nearly a week ago. The kitchen is down one level from this restaurant where there’s another restaurant utilized for breakfast. Yes, there’s redundancy of one restaurant on top of another with different hours. The space with the restaurant and bar (situated atop the breakfast restaurant) could be repurposed and utilized so much better that it would actually be reinvented as an asset and profit center for this hotel. The downstairs restaurant is lovely and could certainly be used for more than breakfast and would be the perfect place for a cozy dinner and drinks with some decent background music and ambiance. While sitting there for over an hour and observing, if this place is trying to purport a bar & grill or sports bar they are falling way short in spite of multiple televisions. Clearly with their parking situation (‘pay for parking or we will have your vehicle towed away’….oh yes and park at your own risk because we take zero responsibility, in spite of the fact we’re charging you…) they aren’t there to cater to locals, so use this are for something unique, like a destination health and wellness spa, with massages - especially couples massages, gals getaway weekend, bachelorette or wedding party - with infrared sauna, body wraps and treatments, skin care, teeth whitening, makeup applications, oxygen bar, juice bar, cosmeceutical services, etc… There’s a lovely outdoor space that would be nice for open air massages or to sit with a health and vitality beverage and breathe in the natural surroundings. Right now the square footage is nearly wasted due to redundancy and inhospitable environment. For a good meal I would recommend the Corner Bakery at Wakara and Foothill, or if you’re coming from or going to the U of U hospital stop in a grab something at the cafeteria (anything!) and it’s going to taste much better and be more reasonably priced.
