Too Noisy at night. Difficult to sleep. ‘Holiday Camp’ feeling

Room a bit grubby and worn, had a damp smell, food in bar took forever and wasn't too clever, glad it was only a 1 night stay.

I came here for a conference about scars. It is really nice and clean place. Great organisation, lovely staff.

I really liked this hotel, but I've got to be straight with you. The air conditioning filters were ridiculously dirty, probably the worst I've ever seen. These units are supposed to get serviced at least once a year, but it looks like they've skipped it altogether here, and that's just not cool—it's actually a health hazard. The spa was great, but having to get out of the jacuzzi every five minutes for cleaning or whatever was just annoying and totally killed the vibe. I've never seen this at any other hotel, and trust me, I've stayed at plenty. The breakfast was so-so, but the staff are awesome, the beds comfy, and the rooms are pretty nice. It's cool to have USB sockets right by the bed, and the TV was a decent size. Overall, the hotel is generally really nice, but they've got to sort out a few silly issues.

Good hotel for a short stop over. Rooms are OK. It's a noisy place with guest coming and going and the noise from the in-house pub.

The hotel room is nice, but two of the plugs in my room on either side of the bed do not work and also they allow squash to go on till 9 o’clock and I’m on the first floor and all I’m getting for the last four hours is continuous banging on the wall. I’ve talked to customer service they said they can’t do nothing as it’s a design for with the building, and I also have a friend staying in the second floor and they can hear it too. This hotel is very poor in Sound deadening

Not only did I find some of the gym staff to be unenthusiastic and slightly rude at times, the facilities are often lacking (pool out of order, sauna being cleaned in the middle of the day and unusable, classes not running when the app says they are), the 3 month cancellation policy is written quite misleadingly. When I finally came to cancel my membership I get sent in circles between 3 different phone numbers. Relieved to be leaving.

We paid a premium rate and we couldn't use the pool, we were told last minute on the 29th April 2024 that the pool was closed and that it was a last minute decision. From reading other reviews, it looks to have been shut long before the weekend, and I'm still not quite sure why we were told it was a last-minute decision. I asked if compensation was a possibility as the premium facility was out of order, to which I was told by a member at the hotel that I have the flex rate, so I can cancel the hotel stay if necessary. This is poor customer service, we had nowhere else we could stay last minute. The room itself was very basic. There is no safe, cuboards, fridge, or even a bottle of drinking water. This is unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. The very minimum that could've been offered was some form of compensation. The use of sauna, steam room and jacuzzi is why the rating has not dropped to one star.
