One of my favourite go to restaurants in the city centre. Always greeted with fresh green tea upon arrival (with free top ups). Food is freshly prepared and arrives promptly. The seating area, especially the chairs, can be improved to offer the customers a more comfy dining experience. Overall, a good Vietnamese themed restaurant at the heart of the town centre. If you like soups, you will be pleasantly surprised with what they offer
Upon arrival, the initial impression was okay. However, tables were way too small and chairs too low. My friends and I are of medium stature (5”9) and we were told we could not sit in front of the edge of the table near the wall for more space. Waiter was extremely condescending and told us it was against the regulation and the manager was not permitting a move to a larger table or sitting in a more comfortable position. Staff did not accommodate to our request for a more comfortable table when the restaurant was empty on a week day. Food was mediocre. Had tried Wonder Pho and a couple other vietnamese restaurants and this place was no better than others. Atmosphere feels very messy. Music and vibe did not match. Recent expansion of restaurant also led to a 15% increase in food prices. Overall, out of all the new and upcoming vietnamese restaurants, I wouldn’t come to Viet80s again because of the underwhelming food, poor service and attitude from the waiters and poor set up.
Great place for family dinner. Staff is so friendly and helpful .
stopped by on a whim for lunch and how glad we are that we did!! Food was delicious and service was attentive and speedy food. Can't wait to come back :)
one of the best vietnamese restaurant in Nottingham better then "wonder pho" amazing authentic vietnamese!
Fantastic staff. Quick service. Very good food. We will be back.
We came here because my Asian family was all excited to see a Vietnamese restaurant on their way. It wasn't that big deal. None of them liked their food. The service was fair but slow. I needed to go to the till twice to ask for another dish and for a toothpick that I never got, and I had to ask again. My experience was of a mediocre service with mediocre food, with expensive prices. Not recommended.. sorry. Update a week later.. they replied, saying the "picture of the food were inaccurate and didn't give them a fair chance. ".. I'm not sure what they mean, as the pictures were taken from the table, from their food, in that day!! PLUS, they never replied to the slow service or the laziness in coming to our table, without us having to go to the till and ask. Hence, another start comes off the review.... sorry regarding the freshness of your food. I never said it wasn't fresh, just said your service was slow and the table waitress was not there when we needed to ask. AGAIN... Not recommended!! Vegetarian options: There are vegs in the menu.
We called and specifically asked if they were dog friendly. They said yes and we booked. When we arrived we were told they would not accept any dog. Shame
