Highly recommended. Loved the food and the drinks
Had a Cubano sandwich with sweet potato fries, chips and salsa. Also had a habanero hot sauce and a ghost chili hot sauce that I used to dip the fries in. Was all incredible!
Great cocktails. Loved the el magico margarita. Food was delicious. Specials are…special. So happy to find good Mexican in Portsmouth.
I'm probably among the dissenting opinions here, but this place was just okay. Let me be clear, I'm a little bit of a traditionalist when it comes to Hispanic cuisine. My opinion is exactly that, and biased, but I was bummed when chips and salsa didn't come with our meal. I was enraged on behalf of abuelas everywhere when I saw that it would cost $8 for an order of chips and salsa. My wife and I arrived around 7:30 on a Thursday night. The place was roughly half full, but we were told we would have to wait in 15 minutes to be seated. I've worked in restaurants - the staff didn't seem like they couldn't handle a '2-top'. I had the black mole enchiladas, and my wife got a trio of tacos. My rice and beans were lukewarm. The rice had clearly been in a hot pan for a while because there were quite a few crunchy bites. The food was good, but I didn't feel it was anything special, or so special that it was worth the price tag. We each had a margarita, which wasn't any better or worse than other margaritas that I've had. I'm happy to see chefs putting a unique twist on traditional Hispanic foods - taking historically 'cheap' foods and creating gourmet meals. However, I stand firm that the best Hispanic foods I've had, have been served from a truck, by a person who speaks broken English at best.
Been here before and the food and service were lacking on this trip.
Way overpriced. $6 for a single taco? Enchiladas $22. If you want great Mexican food at a reasonable price, go to Los Cocos in Kittery. The barbacoa or carnitas tacos are outstanding.
