Velvet Taco

Been ordering here for about a year, but my husband do not understand why the staff can’t actually look up or make eye contact or help in any way when your order online. They do their best not to look at you and not help. Heaven forbid someone else is given your order and you have to wait to figure it out while you wrangle your hungry child waiting as patiently as he can to get food.

I love velvet taco but I have yet to get a taco with all of the right ingredients at the Optimist Hall location

Good, only one gluten free taco, they have velvet cake which is not gluten free.

Was surprised at how delicious the paneer taco tasted. It's not spicy at all but it is flavorful and soft. Not a fan of the tofu one as it was more tofu than anything. Vegetarian options: The paneer taco was delicious. It's not spicy at all. However, they do give out packs of hot sauce on the side if you want to add your own heat.

Poor sanitation score. Witnessed Employee rubbing face and nose while he makes plates without washing hands.

I was charged $35.00 for 2 brisket tacos. I told them gentlemen before I paid. He laughed and said yes. I looked at my receipts and I had been charged for 2 brisket tacos and 2 brisket nachos. He called Gary to fix it. I stood there for about 10 minutes and still did not get a refund. He proceeded to tell me that something was wrong and that he would contact his manager and that someone would reach out to me in a few minutes about my refund. I still haven't heard anything hours later. First time I had tried this place and I don't plan on going back.

It is what I have learned to accept and expect from the organization.

I could say so many positive things about my experience here. I have to start off with Gary, he was so nice, attentive, personable, and funny. Although we were present to order food he made an intense effort to connect with us. He provided great suggestions with detailed information regarding the various options. To compliment our amazing experience the tacos were to die for. They were well seasoned, fresh, and all the ingredients worked well together. We ordered the chicken and waffles tacos which was sweet/salty, the chicken was fried to perfection, and the waffle shell was perfect. Also ordered the fiesta shrimp which was also great! Highly highly recommend we look forward to returning and seeing Gary soon!
