Went here on a date night and had a great experience. The food was fantastic and our server Logan was polite and attentive. The risotto and scallops were phenomenal and so was the gnocchi. It was a little louder than I expected it to be. The live music was nice but you can hear what feels like everyone in the restaurant. It could’ve just been where we were seated but that was disappointing. My wife and I felt like we we had to yell across our 2-person table. Vegetarian options: Risotto primavera and Gnocchi were both great vegetarian options

The food was flavorless but great service. For large parties, they will not split the bill, FYI. Loved the atmosphere Parking: Park in the attached garage, and Varia will validate your ticket. They will not validate your ticket if you valet. $13, for valet.

We dined in for my besties birthday and from the start I could tell I could tell it was going to be problematic. When we were seated, at least two of the water glasses were smudgy, we waited 15 min before being offered water, and an hour and 20 minutes before we even got bread to the table. I asked for a straw and a cup of hot water which took another 20 min. Our drink order was taken within 20 minutes of being seated. We were seated at 6:15 and didn’t place our order for food until about 7 pm when our drinks finally arrived! There were 9 adults and two kids and maybe they did the best they were able to do but I was not impressed. Most of us did enjoy the food but my herbed chicken was super bland! The calamari and octopus appetizers were SUPERB and those who ordered the pork chop entree were very pleased! I just wish service was a lot better and maybe it would’ve made up for my bland chicken. Oh, that mocktail, was not it but the sweet tea was good and freshly brewed! Pizza was also great! My bestie had a seafood dish with mussels and risotto and stated that was great so at least the most of the guests were satisfied.

We loved Friday night dinner here. We got the pear pizza which was delicious, mushroom risotto, and eggplant Parm. They have a great happy hour until 7 and Frank sings Frank put on a great performance, walking around the restaurant and serenading guests! Our host was Ashley H and although we didn’t have reservations, she allowed us to sit in lounger by the piano where we could watch Frank sing until our food arrived. Great experience!

The food was delicious. My wife and I sat at the bar, so the bar tender took our order. We shared a chicken parmesan meal, and it was plenty enough. Bartender made good drinks according to my wife. Everything was good. Thanks.

I took my boyfriend to Varia for his birthday last year and it was wonderful. His birthday is in Dec so there was a couple singing and playing live piano Christmas music, comfortable seating and lovely ambiance. Our server was attentive and the food superb. My boyfriend had the pork chop and it was delicious and must have been better than my meal as I can’t remember what I had now lol. This is a great place to celebrate special occasions!

Really was impressed with the food and the happy hour drink menu. This is definitely one of the best spots downtown Norfolk for a elegant meal.

I had the chicken marsala.It was delicious.

We came in for dinner as a group of 5. Harrison was our server and took excellent care of us! All of our appetizers, main courses, and desserts were great. I particularly enjoyed the braised short rib. Thank you for a great meal!

We waited over an hour for food just for my husbands 34 dollar steak to taste like pure char from a grill. Not to mention the steak was on top of a cold bed of veggies.
