Stopped in from Boise while waiting for my ride to Santa Cruz and could not be happier! The food was authentic and delicious! Cool that they use local ingredients and the owner was really kind and friendly. We got the samosas, salt and pepper cauliflower, chicken momo’s & chicken tikka masala. I highly recommend!
Ordered from Urban Momos for a family dinner, including relatives visiting from India, and let’s just say… it was an experience! The momo size? Not bad, but they packed quite the punch—overspiced like they were competing for a “spiciest dish” award. The Schezuan chicken was a mystery—no Schezuan sauce in sight, just some random spicy concoction that seemed to have wandered in by mistake.
The food is like a wild Indo-Chinese road trip through Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, but with California driving the bus. The result? A quirky mash-up that’ll definitely make you raise an eyebrow or two. It’s overpriced for what you get, but hey, if you want to see what Indian Chinese food looks like when California takes a spin, go for it! As for me and my family, we might give it a little break—until our taste buds recover!
2024 edit: this place gone downhill in both quality and taste. Avoid it.
Gurkhali chicken and chicken momo are a must try! But the schezwan fried rice is a HUGE disappointment and despite being their spicy offering is actually bland and flavorless.
Vegan chilli momos are bomb!!! It’s the sauce for me - I get an order of naan and deep it in the sauce! I never order any other food from other vendors, I can’t pass on the chili momos (it is spicy) 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Cute place inside the market. Good food. Would recommend the paneer chili momos.
A variety of food can be found here.. Dishes were either chicken or vegetarian.. Not bad.
Chicken chowmein is really good. Not overly spiced, just right amount of flavor.
Waited over 30 minutes for my 1 item order. Service here is awfully slow, waited over 5 minutes to get my order taken when there was no one else waiting. Chicken momos were good, but definitely not worth the wait. Will most likely not be coming back.
The staff at urban mono are great. We arrived right at closing and they still provided great service and food. We thought the store was open until 10pm and they still served us at 9pm despite the rest of the stores being shuts
Great food & great people!
I was blown away by how nice and accommodating the staff was to my party. The type of people that brighten your day! The food was delicious. I got the Chicken Momos and Tikka Garlic Fries. Sooooo good I ate it too fast and forgot to take a picture.
Urban Momo is an outstanding Nepalese restaurant that never disappoints. The food is incredible, with flavors that are both authentic and bold. The chili chicken, in particular, stands out with its perfect blend of spiciness and rich flavor. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied. Not only is the food high quality with massive quantity, the service is impressively quick. Urban Momo is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Nepalese cuisine.
Loved the schezwan chowmein and gobi Manchurian
Helpful order taking person, appreciate him
Has a smiling attitude.
Ordered online. My order confirmation showed 8pc chicken momo at $14. I found that I received 6pc only when I got home. So I called urban momo, they told the menu is wrong. Confusing.
