We are so lucky to have Chef Yia Vang here locally! He's really a gourmet chef that puts so much love into his food. I've been to the location at Graze and recently discovered this other location. We had the pork belly and noodles and the tofu and noodles. SO flavorful and filling. The staff all seem really happy to work there. Everyone needs to come check this place out. There is free parking behind the restaurant. They are open for lunch and dinner.
Definitely has the vibe of a restaurant in flux, but the food does not disappoint! The Hmong sausage is oh so spicy in all the right ways. Pair it with that herby-chili oil and you’ve got yourself a meal. Dietary restrictions: They seem to be very flexible for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.
My boo and I went to a delicious dinner at the lake street location. It was so flavorful and delicious! Very quick service. The owner was the chef, personally served us our dinner! I would recommend the chicken leg, sausage, noodles, and brussel sprouts. Each dish had unique flavors. Super fun place and we will be back!
Large portion sizes and a nice variety to choose from. If you’re not big on spicy food I recommend the lemongrass sauce for your protein.
It all started with the ordering. After ordering they said nothing about they were charging an 18% gratuity. Then once the food arrived it was greasy and didn’t settle well with my group I was with. And then we had to get up to get our own pitchers with water when we ran out. All around bad service bad food and way over priced. Wouldn’t suggest it to anyone.
Absolutely awesome. It was about $22 dollars for the pork belly and rice noodles which is worth it just for how delicious the food is but the portion size is big. Loved it here and will definitely be back.
Got to try Union Hmong Kitchen by Yia Vang last night. Went with a couple of friends. Yia was there and I got to chat with him. I told him that I knew it had taken a long time for him to find a brick & mortar location, and that I was happy for him. He responded to our table by giving us an order of his Taro Chips. tasty toppings. I got the chicken and some more chips, Doll got the Tofu and Brussel Sprouts. Our friends got the same. The chicken was perfect, crispy skin and moist dark meat of the leg and thigh flavored with ginger and lemon grass. The tofu was marinated in sweet chili with thai basil. Doll loved it. Many interesting flavors for me, they will bring me bring me back! And Yia was so nice!
