Uncle Julio's Fairfax

Kenneth was wonderful, he was very accommodating to us and circled around to every table making sure everything was up to par. The food was delicious, everyone in a party of 4 enjoyed our food. Service was great, food was great. I highly recommend this place.

The food quality is consistent. The rice and tortillas, the beans - always one point. It's comfort food for me. The menu has changed over the years. It is simpler now and they've kept the dishes that worked. I docked a star for service because it can be slow when they are busy - and they are busy a LOT - for good reason. The food does not disappoint. My favourite is the Carne Asada. I like to make little burritos with cut up pieces of the steak mixed in with the sides. You can order steak fajitas and do the same thing but the steak is juicier my way. I miss their flan. It's no longer on the menu.

2 hours and 15 minutes for dinner. Worst service of my life. Food runner dropped our food all over floor. No visit from manager. Server and manager walked by us 20 times and never acknowledged us. I bussed our dishes. Manager was called over and didnt care at all. I sent email to all store managers and left review on website. No reply!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!! Manager responded to this review stating that he already responded to my reviews. He is a liar! I sent 3 emails and 2 reviews and never received any response from him or any Uncle Julios representative. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!! and tell all your friends, family, and followers........DONT GO TO UNCLE JULIOS FAIRFAX!!!!

Last 3 times ive been here, service has been abysmally slow, and they are not busy. Our server went MIA last time i went and our queso literally solidified while we waited for the chips we asked for. Its frustrating having to flag down staff just for drink orders after weve been seated for 20 minutes without a server. Very inattentive.

I have reviewed this place a bit scathingly in the past, and I am disappointed to say that nothing has changed in the three months since I last came here. The service continues to be incredibly slow with the dining room always being less than halfway full. Servers are consistently spotted chewing the fat near the kitchen, inattentive to their tables that have long since held empty drinking glasses and are waiting to place their food orders. It took an entire hour for our food to come out while we were seated here tonight, and I ordered a salad. I also don’t understand why the lights are always turned to full brightness at this uncle Julio‘s location, whereas the other locations keep a dimly lit and intimate atmosphere. This one tends to feel like a shortstaffed cafeteria in comparison to other locations on a consistent basis. For the steep prices of the food, the poor service is absolutely not worth it. Invest elsewhere.
