I would never come back the service was the worst I have ever experienced everyone just kept walking past us took so long for them to just bring water to the table. The food took so long and it was cold when it got to us. The place was not busy at all if it would have been maybe it would be more understandable but honestly they don't care that's how it felt Just go across to firebirds better food and better service

We had a party of 6 celebrating a friend's birthday. I am posting this to help improve my next potential visit to this restaurant with our overall experience. Food: 2 party members felt the steak on their taco tasted as it was old meat, my own steak (bowl) was not cooked enough (medium rare and was chewy). One party member did not rate his food as average. Two other party members were good with their food. Salsa was excellent. Service: Drink did not arrive timely, took for ever for waiter to change one taco for another due to bad tasting meet, bills was missed up and waiter did not have the know-how on what to do. Another individual came to explain how the bill charge will be reversed by the next day, etc. Waiter did not come back often enough to check what was needed, etc. Overall service was poor. Atmosphere: it was nice setup. Music was not so loud that we could not talk but a little customer traffic noisy (expected on Saturday). Parking: location is excellent.

Uncle Julio's has a luxurious look and somewhat higher than average prices for fairly average Mexican cuisine. The bean paste dip for the chips is outstanding, my group got several refills. The quesadilla I got consisted from several smaller pieces of thick tortilla with dip in the middle. It was good food, but not amazing. The location is convenient, but you pay a premium for that. Staff was good. When it's time to pay they give you a machine that people can pass between each other, which I was impressed with. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

I’ll keep this short and sweet. Between the long wait times and small portions, this restaurant misses the mark. The service was lacking at all levels, from a 30 minute way for drinks to the late delivery of the food. For the price, there are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance that you are better off trying.

Came in randomly for dinner with wife and kids. Greeted and sat immediately which was the best part. The server was very unenthusiastic, just didn’t seem too thrilled to be there. I asked for a drink menu to see if there were any beers or cocktails to choose from, and his response was “no, but we have coke products and regular bar drinks”. We ordered the table side guacamole which was good, but the person making it didn’t say anything except to ask if we wanted jalapeños, which I had already told him we didn’t. The food took a while to come out, so unfortunately we loaded up on chips, salsa and guacamole (which we were given 2 kinds of salsa and the one tasted like a liquified version of a cigarette butt). When the food came, my wife’s quesadilla was cold already. We had to wait 3-4 minutes before anyone came near the table to flag down. We told our server and he told us to hang on while he finished resetting a table before he would go back to the kitchen for us. Our daughter’s quesadilla was supposed to have chicken in it and it was plain. I had also asked for corn tortillas and I got flour, but I was done waiting to request a change. By this time we were done and ready to leave. It took almost another 5 minutes from when he brought boxes to when he gave us the check. I just handed him the card so I wouldn’t have to wait any longer. Overall, the quality of the food was sub par, and the lack of urgency from the staff was noticeable. It could have also been resolved with a table touch from a manager. Just very unhappy with the visit, and probably not likely to come back, especially because it’s almost an hour away from us.

This was the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. We came to Uncle Julio's to celebrate my mom's birthday. We have been to the restaurant several times in the past and had great experiences When we got there, we were told that it would be a 45 minute wait for two people. I looked around in the restaurant and it was half empty. We were told that that we had to wait because of the wait staff. We were not met with any apologies. We were then contacted about 35 minutes later. The hostess took us to our table. I asked if we could sit at a booth that was next to our table. The hostess stated that she was not sure if we could be moved (the hostess also would have had to clean the table). We ordered the chicken fajitas for two which we had eaten before and were delicious. It took a long time for our drinks to be brought. We also had to wait a long time for our food to be brought. We both have gluten allergies and informed the waiter we needed corn tortillas When the food was brought, the fajitas were not sizzling like in the past. Also there were hardly any vegetables. I honestly think that there were only two pieces of red pepper and minimal onion. We quickly realized that we were not given rice and beans. We had to wait a long time to get our waiter to come back to the table. They then went and got the rice and beans. The rice and beans were horrible. The beans were inedible. We asked for a manager. Up until this point, we had not seen one manager in the entire restaurant. The manager came over and offered an explanation. We stated that this was unacceptable. In the past we have left extremely full but not with this meal because it was so lacking. The manager came back and stated that since we had a gluten allergy that is why we got those rice and beans. She stated that the mexican rice and other beans had gluten in them. We were never informed the previous visit about this. The manager was almost using the gluten allergy as an excuse for the poor food. Also throughout the meal, five tables in our area had finished their meals and not a single table was cleaned. It is not the most pleasant or appetizing environment when you see dirty, messy tables all around you. The manager then stated that the server was not properly trained. We did not appreciate her blaming the server. The managers are responsible for training and informing the employees of food and dietary restrictions. At this point, we were just tired of her making excuses for why the meal was so poor. We told her about the lack of vegetables in the fajitas She stated that she had just gotten to the restaurant, so she did not know why that happened. This was inexcusable. Even with the price reduction, what we paid was not worth the meal we got. I understand that restaurants are short staffed and busy and don't like to complain but this was the worst experience I have ever had. Your restaurant is not cheap and we expect better service, food, atmosphere, and quality. We left frustrated, hungry, and disappointed in the horrible meal. During the entire ordeal we were only apologized to maybe two times. I also have the mindset in business that the customer is always right and this was not the attitude of the manager or staff. The most disappointing thing about this whole ordeal was that my mom's birthday meal was ruined.
