Umi Cafe

So delicious!!! Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Wonderful ambiance. Just walking in from the parking lot towards the restaurant is a lovely experience. With the beauty of nature surrounding you. The restaurant is tucked into a private area that brings on a peaceful zen. Hien our server was kind and helpful. He shared this is a family owned restaurant. They hand pick and put together the menu. Couldn’t recommend enough. 🙃 Come for the food! Come for the atmosphere! Come for the beautiful views surrounding the restaurant.

The service at this cafe is very bad. The waiter did not even wait whether we sat in the seat or not. He just threw the menu on the table and went. He said no hot drinks at all. I don't understand for a cafe with so many coffee and tea choices, not having a hot option seems dumb.

After troll hunting, my friend found a close spot nearby to grab a bite...UMI CAFE. Boy, did we luck out. The outside area is super chill. I bet it's tranquil over the summer with the little water feature outside.  HIEN the owner told us anything we order, we would like. HE WAS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!! On top of that, it was the fastest service ever!!! For apps, we ordered the Crispy chicken gyoza...perfectly crispy that went well with the sweet chili sauce. We also had the pork belly bun. The pork belly was  braised with pickled greens, cilantro, and came with a delicious homemade sauce. Wow. That pork was so tender! It melted in your mouth! The sauteed green beans in caramelized garlic... Yaaaas!!! So fresh...so garlicky...LOVE!!! For entrees, we got the Beef Coconut Curry. It had thinly sliced braised beef in coconut milk and red curry. Omg absolutely delicious!!! The thinly sliced beef was a nice surprise and new experience with curry. On the specials menu, we ordered the duck bun. The roasted duck was cooked to perfection  paired well with the pickled greens. I could eat these all day! ;) We also ordered the Umi noodles. Fresh shrimp and bok choy were delightful, and the homemade sauce was dancing in my mouth. A little sweet, a little spicy, a little sour...omg. Drinks were delicious, many to choose from. We were all super satisfied! And the best part....we got to sit outside in the beautiful fall weather before it rained. And the food... FASTEST FOOD THAT HAS COME OUT AT A SIT DOWN RESTAURANT. We were all shocked! I know i said at least twice during the meal that I'd trek back up to Issaquah JUST for this amazing mom and pop small business! Thanks, Hien! The roasted chicken egg noodle Pho was amazing!

Great place to eat after a hike or just in general. The staff are very nice and friendly the food is amazing. I ordered the same meal every time 2 umi wings plus Thai Tea.

I wish I knew about this place sooner. The food was incredible and I wish I could drink their coffee all day. Chill vibes for such great food.

if i could rate NO stars i would. I went with my siblings. I’m 23 and they are much younger than me. i wanted to take them out to eat because they enjoy noodles and chicken. The waiter purposely stayed inside when we sat in the outside seating after grabbing the menus from inside. We waited outside for 20 minutes and looked over the menu and were ready to order, I finally got up after seeing him stand inside on his phone. He came outside to take care of his other tables as soon as he saw us leave. I’m from Texas and this is unlike anything i’ve ever experienced. Not a good look

I LOVE Umi Cafe. Friendly, accurate, fast service! Delicious food and SO MANY tea and coffee options, all so so good. I can't explain enough how much I love this place. I love the concept of grabbing a menu and seating yourself then going to order when you're ready. The fish pond and all the greenery surrounding the seating area is gorgeous. This is my favorite place.

Best place to enjoy a meal in Issaquah. This place is tucked away from the main old strip but has a great outdoor eating area and the service is so fast with great food. Great coffee and I really like the duck curry. They have so many good dishes you try and enjoy. Always prompt on the service and enjoyable. They don’t have a huge staff but the service is always great.

They serve delicious beef Pho noodle soup and the best classic black boba milk tea compared to many other places I've tried on the east side during the past 14 years I've lived in this area. They use fresh high-quality tea and boba for the milk tea that's never overly sugary sweet. The owner is very friendly and kind. I feel lucky to live close to Umi Cafe.

Beautiful place to have dinner. I love the pond. Watching the little sparrows bath in waterfall was really cute. The food was good and I like coffee. Service was good to. I very much enjoy my time here.

The waiter needs to learn some manners!! He's so rude. The food is good but too overpriced for such small portions.

A local gem! I've been going here for 7 years now and I can't recommend it enough! I get the popcorn chicken every time :) amazing taste, great portions, and excellent service!
