We have been Ubon Thai fans since the days of the food cart.
Hard to describe the vibe of this place where the walls are covered with an eclectic selection of art imported from Bali and the smell of wonderful Thai cuisine infuses the rooms so check out the pictures too. A great place to spend a cold dreary afternoon with friends and family. Parking: No problem at all.
Our first time here! We dined in and loved all the art for sale inside! If you are looking for a thoughtful present, I would definitely recommend the art and sculptures they have there! So beautiful! And the food was great! They had like a little room you could eat in with a beautiful table! It was about $14, $15 a plate. We will be back! Parking: It's hard to get into their parking lot, you have to turn in from 7th. Kid-friendliness: I would say it is kid friendly but there is a lot of art that young kids love to touch!
My partner and I stopped here on our way to Portland recently and it was so good. I ordered the red curry dish and my partner ordered the pad thai. They do not mess around about their spice levels, so be cautious when deciding your spice level. All around the flavors were absolutely divine and our food arrived very quickly. The place itself is very cute and has a lot of art to look at/purchase. Would definitely stop here again on our travels.
Good food, nice people what's not to like?
Place is clean, ok atmosphere. The food we got was edible but I wouldn’t call it good. Ordered the “jungle rice” - the rice was cooked to the consistency of glue paste. It had bits of charred rice in it. There was only 2-3 of each vegetable that was listed on the menu for the dish and the vegetables were cut tiny. So it was mostly over cooked rice. Chicken was dry and flavorless. Dish was overall flavorless with a hint of …soy sauce. Dish was greasy. Yellow curry dish my husband had was edible but not great. Not flavorful just spicy. Nothing green or no great presentation just a blob of white rice surrounded by large chunks of potato in a yellow-y beige sauce. Restaurant would do better to cut 1/3 of the dishes offered on the menu and focus on the food taste and presentation of the remaining dishes. We won’t be going back.
don't miss out on the larb salad. I got medium plus on the heat level and it is amazing. hot hot. but so good. Definitely in the running for best thai place in town in my opinion.
You must try the Mango Curry!
Food was delicious and fast. Great customer service! Definitely recommend
