Exactly the same as when I first started going to Twilite Lounge 10 years ago. And, that's the point. Grungy, quirky, good crowds. Cash only is a bit weird these days, but part of the experience. It's a favorite haunt.
All cash bar that’s a guaranteed enjoyable time, it will bring you to a happy place and amazingly priced drinks. You’d have to try a key lime mind eraser on a bad day to loosen up maybe. Janelle and Rachel are longtime bartenders that I stop by to see on anyday and they always brighten anyone’s day. Millions of thanks to the memories. Twilite is a capsule in time for a lot of experiences. Thanks a bunch.
I love this place!! I’ve been coming here for 8 years now. The service is great, greatest bartenders in town. They are personal and really do care about their people. Drinks are a good price and I always feel at home. They take the time to hear concerns and make sure everyone is comfortable and taken care of. Jenial and Rachel are the best! They actually take pride in their work and the people that come in. Regulars are great and welcoming. Best bar in town for sure!!!
Twilite is my go to place! Top tier tenders, top tier music, top tier vibes, top tier patrons. If you want the best dive experience in the heart of slc twilite should be your first stop. I always drink for a good price and feel safe doing so!! Love the twilite crew and they way they run ship 100%!!
Jazz jaguars on Wednesdays is always always a good move
We were basically ignored the whole time so we left. Parking: There's a free lot just west of the building.
I enjoyed coming here initially, on the surface they have decent drinks, free pool, and the atmosphere is decent for a dive bar. However, there is so much shady activity that goes on in the bathrooms that management is well aware of but will take no action against. Regular drug dealers come and go between both bathrooms, last time I was there a woman overdosed in the bathroom which apparently is a common enough occurrence that the staff wasn’t surprised at all. I get that it’s a dive bar but when management is this unconcerned it becomes a legitimate safety concern.
I didn’t expect to be wowed. To be honest, I wasn’t. A man threw up on the carpet, but it was just liquid, so it was ok. Abe Lincoln said, “Beer.” The pool sucked me in. I lost. I lost. I lost. Yet I won. I’ll be back.
The Twilight Lounge is no ordinary bar - It's flat out the ultimate definition of an American Dive Bar. Its red touched interior creates a unique atmosphere. It's a cash only place, no food (I think chips). I have been going there for exactly 20 years now, and it has not changed one little bit. Whether you like dive bars or not - the Twilight Lounge is well worth a visit.
I wasn’t expecting to be here but wandered in on a whim - but isn’t that why everyone ends up at Twilight? aren’t we all a little lost ? Losing our keys, losing track of our texts, losing track of the ones we love — losing parts ourselves. But here, passed the sound of pool balls clinking and slurred conversations, there’s a familiar part of us waiting to be seen
