Tsunami Restaurant & Sushi Bar - Sugarhouse

Small but tasteful dishes. I came here on recommendation from a friend, and it was about my expectations. Above good food, roughly average price, but tiny portions. Very much an experience to eat, but not a filling one.

Amazing service amazing food you can tell it’s fresh and it’s worth the money.

The food was great, our waiter was nice, it's quite small but now that I think about it, all sushi places are about the same size. Had a good time.

Great meal!! Their shrimp poppers are to die for, as is the 2 accompanying sauces! I requested their recipe, but it's a secret recipe... This particular location closed during COVID & stayed closed for another 3-1/2 years, so they could renovate the restaurant. My boyfriend and I used to order from them every Friday evening. We really missed them while they were closed and are SO glad they're back.

Unbelievable vegetarian and vegan options and plenty for everyone else too. So glad this has opened back up. Vegetarian options: Tons of rolls and other vegetarian/vegan options. The veggie tempura has a vegan kombu/soy/mirin dashi dip that is insanely good. Like.. "holy sh** this is good" and with the added benefit of not having those nasty Bonito shavings. Delicious. Dietary restrictions: A lot of care put into gluten friendly/gluten free options

What can I say for a Friday night their staff was impeccable. Our server Chase made sure all of our needs were met even though they were getting slammed and I super appreciate that. I also appreciate a company that has their assistant managers and the manager come out and check on everybody on the floor to make sure that we are taking care of. Everyone there deserves above and beyond kudos!

It was pretty good. Just wished the sushi had more sauce.

stopped here for the first time w/my bf and it was great! food was amazing! delicious rolls with GREAT flavor and creative tastes! we sat at the bar while Thien made our rolls (hes amazing, fast but clearly knows what he’s doing!) our server was really nice and even made a custom drink when what i wanted was out! only thing was when it was time to go we were unsure how to check out/waited on the server a bit but its fine and still great service and friendly staff will def be back again! we ordered: the Sneaky spouse (our fav) gsk roll(SPICY but delish) and Honey badger (really good veggie option)

I came for the grand (re) opening of this location a couple of weeks ago, and it rocked! Excellent sushi, great rolls and they even had uni! Pear sake was amazing and the service was on it. I'm a fan, and will be back. This location has been totally upgraded and renovated, check it out.
