The best fish and chips I’ve ever had!! That’s coming from someone who loves fish and chips!! Their tartar sauce is also incredible (I don’t normally use much tartar sauce) I couldn’t get enough of it!!
Best fish and chips, I get fish and chips from almost every restaurant that has them and none have compared to this restaurant's fish and chips, having the restaurant on the water boosts the atmosphere massively.
Great cod and chips. Neat location. Pet friendly.
They were closed with sign that said closed and no update on website
Nothing nicer than fresh local fish well prepared, served with a smile in the sunny outdoors on Nanaimo Harbour, specially since the dogs could be with us.
It's the end of the season so maybe that's why the chips were so pathetic. I've eaten here several times in the past few years. This afternoon it was not very good. I know they can do better.
Very poor value. Serving sizes are very small. I would guess the $17 buys you 1 small piece of cod (approx 4 oz) each with fries and a small coleslaw. The child's portion is even smaller and there was more batter than fish. A two year old ate both the child and adult portions of fish for lunch and was still hungry. The floating dock idea is great. I expected a water view but the water is very restricted by the building. Picnic table benches aren't comfortable. Service was quicker than expected.
Best Fish and Chips in the World with great Coleslaw! I wish I could have the recipes! We also had the chance to taste the prawns when we were there in June! They were so delicious!
Our family has been enjoying fish and chips on the docks at Trollers for years! And now their ENTIRE menu is gluten-free! For quite a while, I couldn’t eat any of the deep-fried fish, but now their batter is gluten free! And so delicious, thin, and crispy-crunchy! And try a lemonade or a flavourful Italian soda. And I love the fresh coat of pretty blues and white paint, plus additional bench seating. You’re protected from the sun by awnings and from drizzle too. Enjoy this waterfront (literally ON the water) gem and longtime Nanaimo eatery!
