A couple years ago, during "covid times", we visited the Triple Moon Coffee Company in Middletown, Ohio. Ron Howard was filming "Hillbilly Elegy" at the time around the area and frequented the place. So, we went in search of it. Had a great lunch there, and I always wanted to go back. We have since moved, and are even closer to the area. Finally today, we visited again. Great idea! I love this place. My special hippie hangout. The people are great and friendly and efficient, especially for the big business they handle. Triple Moon has become one of my favorite coffeehouses. One orders at the counter, from an extensive menu of coffees, beverages, soups, sandwiches, pastries. The staff brings your order to you when it is ready. I had the "Moon Over Italy" ham and salami sub on a soft sub bun. It comes with kettle fried potato chips and a pickle. DELICIOUS. I also ordered chicken noodle soup. I am a chicken soup addict! Tons of thick noodles, soft and juicy pieces of chicken and a hot, flavorful broth with carrots. Very tasty and comforting. My husband ordered the egg salad on sub bun, which was equally good, and a cappuccino. Sandwiches can be ordered on ony bread selection, which includes bagels, croissants, sub buns, etc. They can be made hot or cold. Their coffees are very good. We shared a stuffed oreo muffin. Mmmmm! Being a child of the 60s, I love the hippie atmosphere of the place. All in all, it is a place that is just my style. Very comfortable and enjoyable. We will return for sure. So glad to see it going strong.
