This place was amazing and low key. The manager and our waitress were great. Let me add. I'm not a drinker. Watching the bartender work was nice. He is a master. He was making some drink where he burned a piece of wood and took the smoke and caught it in a glass. Nice. The manager took time to explain to me and my brother. I won't try to say it again. Amazing place. Will go again next time I'm in town.. Wheelchair accessibility: It was ok. The door could have had an automatic door opener
Tried this place for lunch today and it was SO good! The food was 10/10. We had the calamari and shrimp and catfish! We also got a mule flight which was delish. The service was just as good as the food! We’ll definitely be back!
Not bad, but not great, a tad pricey! We will go back to try entrees. Tried a dozen shrimp, two crab cakes both excellent but pricey adding up to $40. As well, we had the crab and shrimp bisque, which, although pretty good, was not a cream base like most traditional bisque I've had. It was tasted to me like a rich butternut squash with ample shrimp & crab. The atmosphere was pleasant, like many of the other restaurants at the Star. We will be back
Ordered chicken fingers for kid, fish taco, crab bisque and fish and chips. Crab bisque was creamy and good. Then came the disappointment one after the other. Chicken was cooked in a burnt oil I guess.. fish taco was way too salty and fish and chips had only batter and cooked way too much with oil oozing out. Totally disappointed
This was one of the best meals I've ever had! Each dish in my meal was exceptional! Great creativity without losing heartiness. Simple items that transcended ordinary and became special because of surprising seasonings and attention to detail in preparation.
I nice vibe! The Pain Killer was great! Fish Sandwich was good! However the cold slaw was tasteless! Service was very good!
Tricky Fish had friendly and fast service, but the food was hit or miss. The Thai wings and slaw were SO GOOD! The okra we got as a side with the fish tacos wasn’t breaded, which actually made it so much better! Might have been the best okra I’ve ever had! The Cobb salad was also pretty good, with quite the variety of toppings and a delicious honey mustard vinaigrette. The fish tacos were just average, and the gumbo, despite having good chunks of sausage and seafood, was shockingly unflavorful and bland. I would not order those again.
Excellent food and service! Loved the fried green tomatoes. The special of the day was superb! Definitely will be back. Bonus - the Monday special on Mules was a nice touch!
